Early Life and Career Start
Born on 12 July 1983 in Ikhar, a small village in Bharuch district of Gujarat, India – Munaf’s passion for cricket was evident from a very early age. He started his journey towards becoming an acclaimed fast bowler by playing at local clubs during his teenage years.
International Career
Munaf Patel made his test debut against England on March 1, 2006 and exhibited his skills as a potent pace bowler. Acclaimed as one of the fastest Indian bowlers, he consistently delivered balls around 140 km/h (87 mph), which are considered rapid by Indian standards.
- In a career spanning seven years (2006-2013), Munaf played 13 Test matches, 70 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 3 Twenty20 Internationals for India.
