  • Amre was part of the victorious Indian team at Wills World Series tournament held in Sri Lanka during September–October 1994—this resulted in heightened regard for Pravin amongst cricketing circles.

  • However, his international career was relatively short-lived. Post 1999, he diverted from active sport but launched a successful coaching tenure soon after.

Amre has been associated with the Indian cricket team in various capacities—working as an Assistant Coach and then later as the Talent Scout for Delhi Capitals (a franchise of the popular Indian Premier League).

  • A strong believer in nurturing talent at grassroots level, Amre played an active role shaping futures of rising cricketers like Ajinkya Rahane, Robin Uthappa and Suresh Raina—all credited their achievements partly to him due to his tireless dedication towards imparting knowledge.

The well-celebrated life of Pravin Amre sheds light not only on the spirit, discipline and determination required to excel in any field; it also showcases how one can explore new roles beyond the chosen path by leveraging skill-sets effectively.
