Early Career

Rahul began his cricketing journey at St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School in Bangalore. Incredibly passionate about the sport from an early age, his talent quickly shone brighter than any other player around him. This led him to eventually play for Karnataka at the Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19 levels.

  • In 1996, he made his international debut against England in the second Test at Lord’s where he scored a commendable 95 runs which immediately garnered attention for his extraordinary playing skill.
  • Dravid has been described as one of the best number three batsmen in the history of Test cricket with over 10,000 runs registered at this position.
