He is a former Indian cricketer and full-time coach who moulded his skills throughout his career to attain excellence in batting, bowling, as well as leadership roles.

Shastri’s educational journey started at Don Bosco High School in Matunga where he began exhibiting an interest in sports, particularly cricket. Later, he attended Ruparel College in Matunga, juggling between academics and honing his sporting talent henceforth.

  • International Debut:
  • We saw promising beginnings when he made his Test debut against New Zealand in 1981 after catching attention for remarkable performances in domestic games for Bombay (now Mumbai) team.

  • In the cricketing year 1991-92, he scored three consecutive centuries against Australia.
