Born on 25th October 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Umesh Kumar Tilak Yadav is widely recognized as one of the most significant bowlers for Indian Cricket team. Early Life and Background
Riding high on his continuous efforts and raw passion, Umesh sparked off his journey towards becoming a professional cricket player at the age of 19. Originally working as a constable, his love for cricket led him far away from his earlier life. He played for Vidarbha at the domestic level before being selected for Air India. His performance attracted national selectors who picked him up for India A squad against West Indies A in May 2010.

- In May 2010, he got his first international break when he was included in the Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka tri-series. He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on Jun 28, 2010.
- His Test career started against Windies during November 6-9 in 2011 at Arun Jaitley stadium.
- In IPL history, Kolkata Knight Riders bought him into their side where he stood out with performances earning stand-out pacer in Kolkata’s pace-heavy attack. As of now, Yadav belongs to Delhi Capitals since IPL Auctions 2021 held.
