Early Life and Struggles
Jaiswal’s family had limited financial means which made his journey fraught with many hardships. In Mumbai, unable to afford rent or meals, he took shelter in a dairy shop’s tent where he was able to trade keepership duties for a place to stay at night. His day started by selling pani puri roadside and ended practicing cricket under city lights. Despite these circumstances, Jaiswal remained focused on his passion – Cricket!
Earning Recognition
- In 2015, Jaiswal scored an impressive innings of 319 not out and then took 13/99 in the same match. This record-breaking debut earned him recognition and propelled him on Indian Under-19 team selection.
- During India’s victorious Asia Cup campaign in 2018, Jaiswal showcased consistent performances that won him the title of ‘Man of the Tournament’. He scored a remarkable 318 runs in five matches averaging almost 80 per inning.
